Overview
80% of teen oncology patients that go through cancer treatment suffer from stress, anxiety, and depression and often feel like their lives have lost meaning. The likelihood of them experiencing anxiety is 60% more than their already anxious peers. This leads to higher levels of pain, nausea, sleep issues, and a lower quality of life. Based on the research and coversations with cancer patients, their parents, a cognitive behavioral therapist, and a research fellow at the national institute of health, and we discovered a major issue in teens experiencing extreme boredom and isolation, which leads to even more stress and anxiety in cancer patients.

Plan’ter is an app that can fill out the day for it's users with activities that are manageable and based off activities they like to do. There is also a space to keep track of emotions and what is on their mind. It suggests outlets for users to relieve their stress and anxiety, incorporate mindfulness and feel a sense of achievement.
Plan’ter brings productivity, mindfulness, and connection to patients’ lives, but its potential isn’t limited to oncology patients. We see the value in this app for anyone who wants to improve their mental health, with a secondary market of anyone who wants to introduce mindfulness into their lives.
